NELSON MANDELA DAY IN THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES
Kamilla Blanche officially establishes Nelson Mandela Day in the City of Los Angeles.
Congresswomen California 33rd District Diane E. Watson, Congresswomen California 43rd District Maxine Waters, Los Angeles City Attorney Michael Feuer, Councilmember Tom LaBonge, Councilmember Curren D.Price, Jr, Consul General of South Africa Cyril Ndaba and Justin Jampol, Director of the Wende Museum, unveiled Kent Twitchell's portrait of Nelson Mandela on the Berlin Wall Monument in Los Angeles, accompanied by a special performance of the Inner City Youth Orchestra, as part of Nelson Mandela International Day.
